I found my thing!

I have been searching for the past few years for a craft I love and that I am good at. Also by saying "searching" I means just picking random things and either never doing the project, starting but not finishing a project or going all the way and finishing one!

Last fall (2013) I purchased knitting needles and crochet hooks. I learned right away that I hated knitting, so much so that a set of my needles got put away and where never touched again. Well that's a lie . . . they get used to pop the wax out of my warmers when it is hard. They work GREAT for that task!

So next was crocheting and I was skeptical that the process would be any better. Turns out it was hard at first but once I got the hang of it the whole process became easier and easier. I ended up not having time to do any projects for a long while and then a month ago I really got into it again! I have made flowers, boot cuffs, scarfs and I am working on a baby blanket!

I wanted to share some of my accomplishments and say that I am SO happy to find something I am good at!

Here are the flowers I made!

I am still learning flowers so that are not the most perfect things, but I did finally purchase a needle to sew in all of the strings!

I finally made a matching set of infinity scarf, head wrap and boot cuffs! I plan to make and sell all of these to help with the cost of homeschooling!

I have made three different infinity scarfs styles that I love.

I decided with the boot cuffs that I would give people the option to pick the top and body of the boot cuffs and if they want they can make them reversible and pick two tops.

 

All and all I am in love with my new craft and I hope to be successful and make money. However I don't know how much I will be asking yet . . . ugh!

Sampling Fast Active Advil Film-Coated Tablets!!!

I have got to say that this is my new favorite Advil. I have been using Advil liquid gels for a long time, so I was already familiar with the Advil brand. Advil has been the only pain fighter medicine that has worked for me and I stick with what works.

Well as soon as I saw that you could be picked for the #FastAvil Advil Fil-Coated sample I jumped on the chance. I received my sample in the mail with a little list of activities I had to complete before giving my review.

I received 8 - 2-count samples of Advil Film-Coated and 4 $3.00 off coupon! The coupons where a big hit and I used one myself and I got 40 ct bottle for a little over $3.00 . . . GREAT DEAL.

Okay so on to why I use Advil. First I have kids and if you have kids you always want some Advil Film-Coasted on hand. Second I crochet and I am in the same position for periods of time doing the same thing over and over. So my back, neck, hands, fingers and arms will start to hurt after while. Third use is just every day life things giving me a headache or hurting myself by running into a wall . . . . more on that in another post.

So the very first time I tried Advil Film-Coated I was in love and I new I would only be using these style of Advil from now on. I love the tablets, a lots easier for me to swallow. The tablets have a sweet taste which is awesome for me because I gag as soon as I taste medicine. Advil Film-Coated really goes to work fast! I was having a bad day the other day and I had a headache and I hurt my back a little. So I took a sample pack and within 30 minutes I was feeling better. I could feel the medicine doing its job and I was feeling great.

One of the items on my checklist was to pass out 7 samples to people I new. Each person that tried the same said they liked them, 3 took coupons and 2 used their coupons. Do you ever . . .

Do you ever just get hit by how much you miss a person? For me tonight it's my mom and sister. When you spend 18 years of your life with two people you never realize how much you love and miss them when you are grown and have your own family. My sister and I were not always close, as a matter of fact we didn't become close until after I moved out of the house. She now is my best friend and I do just miss her so much sometimes. My mother, I always miss her. She is my rock and she has always been there and loved me no matter what. She is the best mother anyone could ask for. I love those two with all my heart.

#SkintimateHappyLegs Party!!!!

So I was picked by #Crowdtap to do a #SkintimateHappyLegs party with some of my girl friends.

First I received a really great #SamplingSkintimate kit in the mail -

This is the best sampling kit I have ever seen. Lots of great goodies to put into the cute goodies bags I made from scratch. I had these cute little plastic containers with lids that I placed all the samples into so that everyone didn't have to wait form the items to be passed around.

 We had to start out with the exfoliating scrub that I LOVED. It went on well, had the perfect amount of salt and oil, and it just smelled so great. If you have never exfoliated before shaving I HIGHLY recommend you add it to your pampering routine. Exfoliating works wonders!

Others opinions:

• "The smell! It's wonderful! It also worked well."
• "Removed dry skin very well."
• "It smelt really good, but it was hard to clean off."

Now for the star of the #SkintimateHappyLegs party . . . Skintimate Raspberry Rain shave gel!

For me this was a very excellent shave gel. It smells wonderful, you don't need to use near as much as you think you would. It lathers up great and works better than shaving creams/foams. When you press the button you are hit with this light and sweet small of raspberries and rain. If you smell it you would imagine it raining raspberries! It comes out as a gel and like I said above you don't need much and it lathers up well for me. Goes on smoothly and comes off just as smooth. Helps moisturize my legs and that is a must! It is very easy to use outside of the shower if the need should arise. However I didn't like the Schick Quattro for Women Sparkle razor, it nicked me a couple of times and just didn't feel durable in my hand.

Others opinions about Skintimate Raspberry Rain shave gel:

• "It smells great and it worked well."
• "Smelled really good and didn't have to use a lot on my legs. However it spits out very quickly."
• "It smelled good and felt smooth. I liked the gel better than regular shaving cream, but it was a little itchy."

 Others opinions about Schick Quattro for Women Sparkle razors:

• "I did not like the razor. It didn't do a good job."
• "It shaved really good but the hairs were hard to get out of the blades."
• "Did not like the shaver. I had to shave extra slow and it still cut me."

  Once done exfoliating and shaving we were provided a really great lotion to use. To me it had a really nice lite scent and the lotion it's self was light wight. It went on smoothly, absorbed fully and didn't leave a greasy feeling like other lotions I have used before.

 Others opinions about the lotion:

• "It was okay, not a deep moisturizing lotion."
• "I didn't like that I didn't know the brand, I loved how smooth it made my legs feel."
• "I really liked it. Smells good and moisturizes well."

So after we finished with our #SkintimateHappyLegs pampering we painted out piggies with a brighter pink than what I am used to wearing. I have used Sinful Colors nail polish before and my opinion still remains the same . . . it is a great product. It goes on smoothly, only takes a couple of coats to get desired color, drys fast and stays on well. 

Others opinions about the nail polish:

• "Color is a pretty. Polish seems a little bit thin."
• "Nice color."
• "It's a nice vibrant pink, but not a color for everyone."

Over all everyone enjoyed the parties and loved that the parties were so different from other parties that they have attended. It did go to show that you can shave your legs with out a shower if you needed too and it's a great time to laugh, catch up and just hang out with some girlfriends. Caramel Apple Fondue

I came across this Caramel Apple Fondue recipe from Kellogg's. It looks so good and my little ones will be SO happy to give it a try. The love apples, caramel and Rice Krispies Treats. This will be a great fall treat.
