Anybody that lives in the South knows that you always have a picture of sweet tea in your fridge. Whenever you have a big family, like me, you have to have more than one pitcher and you make at least make one pitcher a day. I live in Texas and the summertime heat here is so horrible. I actually dread making tea because I hate having to turn on my stove, it doesn't help that my stove is gas. So I would have to wake up in the morning to make tea ahead of time so that way I wouldn't have to heat up my house later in the day.
Whenever I saw this glass electric kettle its drew my attention. I've never used a counter top kettle before and I was super excited that I wouldn't have to turn on my stove to make tea. I was a little skeptical at first that it wouldn't actually work really well. Needless to say I am actually really happy that I gave this kettle a try. It works super fast, has a really cool blue back light, and there is no taste difference between tea that's made in it and tea that's made on the stove. I like that it's easy to operate, just set the kettle on top of its base and press the start button and it'll automatically set it to boil. Having the handle and top of the lid be heat resistant is really nice.
The only issue that I personally came across was whenever you're pouring your water, or whatever it is you made in it out, you have to go a little bit slower. If you go fast like I did the first time it will actually come out of the sides and trickle down on to your floor or counter. It was easy to clean, a little bit of soap and warm water, rinse it out, wipe it down and then you ready to go for the next time. I like that it just sits in this one little spot on my counter and anybody in my house is able to use it. Definitely something to look into if you're heating up water for drinking purposes a lot. I totally give this a 10 out of 10!
