For me it's a magical thing seeing cats experience the outdoors for the first time. However cat mom's everywhere always need to keep the safety of their fur babies in mind when going outside. You want to protect them from other animals and from running off. So giving them something to play inside of while inside is the best option. They have the ability to smell, feel, and enjoy the outdoors while being safe.
I like that you can easily store the tunnel by collapsing it down, tie it off, and stick it in it's storage bag. Takes like a minute all together to take of the ends and get it in it's bags. It can basically be stored any where without taking a lot of room. We have three kittens, only two wanted to be in my photo shoot, and they all play inside of it with no issues. They also like to drag it around the house by it's strings and attack each other to get it to themselves.
The mess is easy to clean if any of your fur babies have an accident inside of it. Which is awesome. I have used other tunnels before that were like plastic sheets and those were really hard to clean. With a hose and some cleaning solution you can get it cleaned in a second. Then I just leave it to air dry. The kittens don't mind when it's a little wet.
Overall it's a really great tunnel, I love it, the kittens love it, and it's easy to maintain. All good things to look for when searching for something with your cats. As well all know cats can be very picky when it comes to picking out things for them. I mean they prefer a pizza box over the $150 cat tower.
