If you have read any of my other post on here you would know that we love Halloween around here. First day of October we have all of our Halloween stuff out and ready to celebrate. However there is one thing that we do wait to do, and that is carving our pumpkin's. Being in the Texas heat makes carved pumpkins go bad really fast, so we wait until as close to Halloween as we possibly can get.
This year it happened to be the day before Halloween. So we went and got our to pumpkin's this past weekend that the girls wanted to carve up, then we set out our work space, and the tools. Most of the time we get those crapy carving kits from the local grocery store that literally fall apart as you're using them. However this year I got picked to try out some carving tools from Abell and I have to say that I am really impressed. The little kit comes with a scraper, grooving toll, scooper, big saw and little saw, drill, and two LED candles. The tools are very well made, I like that the handles go from a point to a wide base because it makes it easier to hold. They don't bend or kink up like normal store pumpkin carving tools. They were really easy to use, even our youngest one was able to help. I do highly recommend that you monitor any children there are working with these tools as they are sharp and pointy.
These have to be the best carving tools I have ever used, and that's because like I said earlier they didn't fall apart in my hands. Over all really great investment because you can continue to use them year after year, there made very well, and you can just stick I'm back into their Box for storage.
