If you haven't noticed by now the link that says something along the lines of "Donate to Homeschool Fundraiser for Montana" in each post you will now know what it is for and will notice it from now on.
A sum of why we decided to homeschool:
Well for the two years of public school my daughter was bullied physically, mentally and emotionally by two different kids.
In Kindergartener she was kicked so hard under her desk by another class mate that it left bruises on her legs, all because she would give answers or answer what this other kid wanted her to put down. This kid would push her down on the playground and just be rude. It took my daughter a few weeks to finally tell us what was going on. Our daughter who was being treated like crap by another child didn't want them to get into trouble for leaving bruises on her so she didn't want to tell right away. Once it came to light what was going on everything was handled how it should have been.
Flash forward to 1st grade. A didn't school mate was a bully to her. This other class mate would say mean things like "You can't play with me and ***** because you are skinny and we aren't," "If you don't do this I will tell the teacher you did something that will get you in trouble." Right away our daughter told us what was going on because we wanted her to know you had to tell an adult when someone was being a bully. Well I contacted the teacher right away and told her what was going on. I was told that she was the baby of like 5 other kids and single parent and that's probably why this child acted the way they did. In all honestly I didn't care about the home situation all I cared about was the mistreatment of my daughter and I wanted it stopped. Well this child got moved across the classroom. That didn't stop it and we had other incidents all year up until the last one. My daughter found a quarter on the play ground. This other child learned about it, went to my daughter and told her that if she didn't give her the quarter that she was going to say she stepped in the sand and would get into trouble, so our daughter gave her the quarter. When I picked my daughter up from school she said that it was her lucky day then it wasn't. She told me the above. I turned right around and went inside to speak to the teacher. I made it clear that it better get handled or I would be taking it higher up. It got handled! Then her school was put on lock down because some guy said he was going to shoot his wife that worked at the school ISD. So after that we decided that she would be homeschooled.
So we started our first year of homeschool this year. Our daughter is loving it. When she goes to public school they have fundraisers all the time to raise money for the school. So I decided that it would be no different having a fundraiser for homeschool. Everything is and will be going to our daughters school curriculum, supplies and all the educational field trips we want to take her on. So it is now on the GoFundMe website and anyone can donate to it. So if you want to and are able to please click here to donate. All donations are very appreciated.
